  • Who operates the The Golf Club at South River?
    • The Club is owned and operated by The Brick Companies, a century old, financially secure company. The Brick Companies fund all capital improvements and any operational shortfalls. Under this stable, non-equity structure, members are not responsible for any assessments and the cost of membership is predictable.

  • How is your initiation fee structured?
    • Initiation Fees are Non-Refundable and paid at the beginning of membership. All contracts have flexible options after the first full year of membership.  Young Professional members, under the age of 36, can apply to the Club’s Membership Admissions Committee for staged initiation payment installment approval.

  • What is included in the monthly membership dues?
    • For those joining under a full golf membership, the all-inclusive monthly dues cover golf, unlimited use of the practice facility (including range balls), carts, bag storage, and full access to all clubhouse amenities, including dining, fitness, and spa facilities.

      Every Full Golf Member at The Golf Club at South River also has partner benefits and access to Club Corp's O.N.E. (Optimal Network Experiences), at over 300 owned, operated and Club Corp alliance clubs nationwide when you travel. Plus, you can take advantage of special offers at more than 1,000 hotels, resorts and entertainment venues.

      **Full Golf Members can also apply for enhanced benefits and complimentary golf with Club Corp's Signature Gold program and gain access to over 200+ private clubs.

  • Does the Club offer any reciprocal programs?
    • Full Golf Members of The Golf Club at South River enjoy complimentary reciprocity with our sister course, Queenstown Harbor. Additionally, thanks to our Signature Gold Partnership with ClubCorp, members may choose to pay an additional fee to receive privileges at more than 200 private ClubCorp clubs and 1,000 resorts, hotels, and entertainment venues worldwide.

  • What types of memberships do you offer?
    • A Full Golf Membership is available for both individuals and families, while those under age 36 can qualify for a Young Professionals Membership. The Club also offers a Corporate Membership, Non-Prime Golf Membership, and a Non-Resident Golf Membership for those whose primary residence is outside a 50-mile radius of the Club.

      Sports Membership gives individuals or families access to the golf practice facilities and all clubhouse and fitness amenities.

      Social Membership allows families to enjoy unlimited dining and access to all non-golf related events and activities.

  • If my spouse or children don’t play golf, what is available to them at the Club?
    • Many families take advantage of our state-of-the-art, 24-hour fitness center, which features a variety of group classes and kids fitness camps. Personal training and massage therapy are also available. The Club offers a year-round schedule of social events, including family-friendly functions and themed dining experiences. 

  • Is golf instruction available at the Club?
    • Yes, the Club has several PGA Professionals on staff who provide individual lessons, group clinics, and custom club fitting. Advanced swing analysis is also available through our HD Golf Simulator.

  • May I bring guests to the Club?
    • Yes, we encourage members to share their Club experience with family, friends, and business associates. Guest fees are $75/18 holes and $40/9 holes and available in the Pro-Shop.

  • What happens if I want to resign my membership?
    • If a Club Member desires to resign their membership and membership initiation deposits are received in full and the member has been a dues paying member for more than 12 months, the Club requires a sixty-day prior written notice. Once notice is received, resignation of membership privileges becomes effective and the resigned Club Membership will be approved and sixty-day notice will begin.

  • How far in advance can I make my tee time?
    • Members can make tee times up to 14 days in advance.

  • Practice Range and Putting Green Rules
    • The practice facility’s hours of operation vary by the time of year. We have two different teeing locations, the artificial turf – open year round Monday – Sunday (closed for snow). In addition, we offer a Bermuda grass teeing area which is available Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays starting in May.  Golfers must hit between designated tee markers to assure even wear and regrowth of the grass.

  • Handicaps & Lockers
    • Members are encouraged to establish a handicap for the purpose of measuring your ability. For member tournaments it is necessary to have a handicap ($20/year)  to ensure an equal playing field and fun for all members. Lockers are available to full golf members through the pro-shop at a rate of $100/year.

  • Bag Drop/Check-in Procedures
    • Upon arrival to the Club, members and their guests are encouraged to take advantage of our bag drop service. As you pull into the Club, the bag drop is located to your right, adjacent to the putting green. The outside operations staff will be happy to remove your bags and equipment from your vehicle and stage them on a cart. If you have bag storage at the Club, it is highly encouraged that you call the pro-shop prior to your arrival so that the outside staff will have your things prepared before you arrive. This is especially important if you are not on the tee sheet and are walking on.

      Please check-in with the pro-shop before teeing off every time you play. All guests must be checked in prior to playing and be accompanied by their respective member. After your round, please drop off your cart to the cart return area located beyond the turn adjacent to the grounds/maintenance facility. Bag Storage available for full golf members.

  • Guest Fees & Policies
      • $75/18 holes
      • $40/9 holes
      • 15 – 18 $20/per tee time
      • U15 - $15/per tee time

      Members are responsible for checking guests in for the day and can charge guests to house accounts. Guests can also pay with cash or credit. Unaccompanied guests are charged the standard guest fee +$20/per round.
