ADVISORY BOARD UPDATE
We are pleased to announce the formation of the Advisory Board for The Golf Club at South River. We appreciate the overwhelming response and interest from our entire membership. It was very difficult to select our initial Board from so many qualified volunteers. Our new Advisory Board is a diverse demographic representation of the general membership with a large percentage selected from the original steering committee. In late 2009 we will begin a rotation to ensure that everyone has an opportunity to participate in years to come.
The Brick Companies held its first meeting with the Advisory Board Monday September 8th. The project team presented a PowerPoint presentation of the proposed Clubhouse and Golf Course renovations created by our Golf Course Architect ,Terry LaGree and our Clubhouse Architect, David Hawkins. The Board reviewed detailed plans for the practice facilities and hole 9 as well as interior Clubhouse plans for current and future enhancements.
The Board offered several suggestions to improve and enhance the current facility plan which will be presented to the general membership at our Renovation Celebration on October 9, 2008.
We would like to thank the Advisory Board for their time and energy and we look forward to working with them throughout the next year as we accelerate the facility improvements and move toward privatization. For more information about the Advisory Board please check out our Members Only website in the coming weeks.
