A native North Carolinian, Donna has eighteen years of active membership service, marketing and sales experience with city clubs, country clubs and golf clubs in North Carolina, South Carolina and Southwest Florida.
Donna began her career as an assistant in membership sales with "The University Club", a private city club in her hometown of Durham, North Carolina and quickly moved up through Club Development Interests. Donnas' first golf club experience was working for Dave Thomas, the Founder of Wendy's Corporation, in Columbia South Carolina where she supervised the privatization of the "Woodlands Country Club". From there, Donna was recruited by WCI Communities, a major golf course community developer in Florida, as Director of Membership Sales at the famed "Deering Bay Yacht and Country Club" in Coral Cables.
Donna has membership director certification through Club Corporation of America and has worked with many semi-private Clubs in membership start up and conversion. She has trained and mentored membership sales and member service personnel in the private club industry and most recently served as Director of Membership Marketing for Worthington Communities in Fort Myers, Florida and Tiburon Golf Club in Naples, Florida.
In addition to member services and relations, club marketing and communications, Donna's primary responsibilities at The Golf Club at South River include the implementation of the membership offering and assisting member candidates through the membership process.
Outside of The Golf Club at South River, Donna enjoys gardening, decorating, cycling, taking long walks with her two Yorkies and exploring the Edgewater and Annapolis areas.
