• Financial Stability: The Club itself does not have any debt. The Club has the backing of The Brick Companies, a century old, financially secure company that has weathered many economic downturns successfully.
• Structure: The Brick Companies owns and operates the Golf Club at South River. The Club is not an equity Club so members do not have any ownership in the club. Therefore, there are neither unforeseen capital assessments nor any operating assessments. The cost of membership is predictable.
• Capital Assessments: There are no capital assessments passed through to the Membership. The Brick Companies funds all capital improvements to the Club.
• Operational Assessments: There are no operational assessments passed through to the Membership. The Brick Companies funds any operational shortfalls of the Club.
• Deposit Schedule: Deposits are due when renovation milestones are reached. Those milestones are driven by the pace at which the membership grows, not pre-set dates on a calendar.
• Deposits: The deposit can currently be paid in installments. We have waived one of these installment payments until further notice. The member can choose which installment to waive.
• Refundability: There is a guaranteed refundability component with every deposit. Refundability is on a sliding scale; it started at 100% and is currently at 90% of the deposit. This will continue to decrease as the membership grows.
• Initially, Golf Members will enjoy a six-day advance sign-up privilege to reserve golf starting times.
• Use of the golf clubhouse to include dining room, grille room, lounge, locker rooms, private meeting rooms, fitness, kids areas, pavilion and patios. Members will be able to enjoy Member Only areas during conversion of club.
• All Inclusive Dues: Monthly dues cover golf at GCSR, unlimited range balls, cart fees and use of the Bistro. There are no additional charges to play golf or use the range. Members have the ability to select Family or Individual dues annually.
• Golf: Members are able to play golf any time at our sister courses, Potomac Ridge, Queenstown Harbor and Queenstown Lakes for only a $25 cart fee.
• Food Minimums: There are no food minimums at the Club. Use of the Bistro is pay as you go.
• Facilities: Members have the opportunity to reserve private areas of the Club without incurring rental fees.
• Renovations: The renovation timeline is below:
Member 100: Renovate Practice Facility (rebuild entire practice facility to allow the use of every club in the bag, short game area, chipping area, and putting green)
Member 150: Pro shop phase II (possibly including: locker rooms, sitting areas, pro shop, bag storage, shower station, club repair, and fitness center)
Member 200: Renovate the golf course (golf course renovation will focus primarily on bunkers, rebuilding every bunker on the course. Some major changes will occur to holes #6 and #8.)
Member 275: Complete the final renovation of the Clubhouse (possibly including: additional dining areas, kid's club, and indoor hitting stations)
