It's True! - The Golf Club at South River goes Private November First!

At The Club Town Hall meeting last week, General Manager, Mike Kriel and Lex Birney, Chief Executive Officer of The Brick Companies, announced that effective November 1, 2011, The Golf Club at South River will be private and exclusive to Members and their Guests Only!

This means that there will no longer be any public play offered (outside of charity outings) on the golf course after November 1, 2011.

As you know, the club has been in a public-to-private conversion process for the past three years and the decision to go fully private was made as our Club Family has nearly reached 200 Members.

Plans were unveiled for the two-story addition to the Clubhouse that will include a state of the art fitness facility, a Kid’s Club, men’s and ladies locker rooms with steam showers. The Clubhouse addition will also include our full service golf shop and offices for the golf staff. An inside golf instruction area will be offered where Members can practice or have a swing analysis performed by one of the Club’s PGA professionals.

The main level of the clubhouse will remain as the home of the Bistro, which will continue to be open to the public as a restaurant for lunch and dinner. A new open-air dining room and banquet area - the Adirondack Room - will be constructed adjacent to the Bistro offering an upscale atmosphere for our Members and an ideal area for dinners, private gatherings and brunch.

Construction is planned to begin in November 2011 with completion in the spring of 2012

Charter Membership will close at 200 Members, the Club currently has 188 Members!
